No way Edmonton is in a position to make that deal. They simply don't have the cap space... and they've already got 2 goalies signed for next year, this makes for a crowded crease.

Probably not at the cost of a 1st. Besides, Smith is already signed through next year and they have Skinner coming up - why would they spend a 1st getting a 3rd goalie unless he was a clear upgrade and they were simultaneously moving Smith?
