Trade Allen to make sure he doesn’t steal games from us and run Price & Montembeault. Keep Hoffman at all cost & rehire Dom Ducharme to make sure we finish dead last

If Price play next year, i don't think we have a shot at Bedard. Maybe 5th at best, but we could still win lottery.

Slafkovsky wouldn't be a bad pick, i just don't like the idea of drafting a winger with a top 5 pick.

I agree with it all except bringing back Ducharme! We can have a young coach who’s learning and still be a bad enough team to land two number 1s.

Carey is probably done as far as being a top goalie in this league. I don’t see him stealing games the way he always has any longer.

This is exactly my thinking as well. May as well take the best shot we have at a top 6 center and hope we luck into a lottery win next year.

Can win the lottery and draft first no more than twice over a five year span. So yeah getting Wright this year wouldn’t even affect getting Bedard next, just would mean can’t win the lottery for the next 3 following years.

I think the idea is that if we have Wright, we will play and carry the habs away from Connor B

Getting Wright is ideal. In my mind top 5 for the Habs goes:
#1-Wright
#2-Cooley
#3-Nemec
#4-Jiricek
#5-Savoie

Yeah I can’t see an 18 year old rookie being the one to transform this team into a non basement team.

If we draft Wright he better not play with the Habs next year

If he does I feel like his max point potential will fall by at least 15 points

If Habs management thinks we're a playoff team next year, than they're no different than MB........ If they're smart, and I think they are, next year will be another "retool" year. Not a scorched earth rebuild but just get rid of a couple guys, play a lot of rookies and hope for the best but expect the worse. Gives another chance at Bedard and by that time we'll have had time to move out some contracts and build a young core that can compete for years going forward. Even if they miss out on Bedard or Michkov next year, some real good other guys like Fantilli and Yager etc as consolation prizes.
