That Mrazek contract is a dud but I just can’t see the Leafs selling on Nylander for a second and to dump him.

I think Buffalo could absorb Petry’s full contract if it means it cost them little to acquire, I’m thinking a b prospect. Armia and Hoffman will probably cost a decent prospect plus a mid pick to move. Byron is still fast and a good presence in the room with only 1 year left, no need to pay to move him, instead just keep him as a 4th liner/pk guy.

I would expect to give up more for Nylander even with Mrazek tied to him. However if it works for the Leafs fans why argue with it lol.

I mean I didn't see the actual thread so IDK how he constructed the team but I doubt he made it worse. Maybe he made the top 6 weaker but balanced out the rest of the lineup.

There is not way to take Nylander off the team and make it better without somehow acquiring a better player who makes less than he does, which is pretty well impossible.

Finding new homes for Petry, Armia, Hoffman and Byron won't be that easy and can't see why Seattle would want Allen as I can't imagine there's too many teams that'd be lining up for Grubauer or Dreidger with their contracts.
