Colorado quite simply doesnt have the assets to make a suzuki trade that would be tenable to the habs.

Makar is off the table and the habs are not getting older in the trade PERIOD.

That essentially leaves picks prospects and newhook.

The gap between newhook and suzuki value wise is massive. Byram doesnt even cover that gap until he proves he is not made of glass. They have next to nothing else of interest prospect wise and even multiple 1sts isnt enough
