I don't get it either. With a history that long you would think they would have a generational talent. Management was defintely a problem back then (not so much anymore, you can say what you want about Dubas but he's miles better than the vast majority of GMs in leafs history following their 67 cup win), but even the best management does get you a generational talent. Ironic concept considering Bob is the most expensive player in FLA and it's not even that close. But if he melts down with such a juggernaut team I'd buy him out immediately. It creates them $4M cap relief for the next year and $3M for three years after that

I think they have a chance. Defense needs to play in more, too much space in tight. Second thing is there skating needs to meet the legs the panthers or we are going to get stoped on. Then it’s goaltending

I don't think so. It'd almost require that WSH's collective shooting percentage is near 20%, because FLA will be the one holding the puck for a clear majority of the games and in particular the offensive zone.

WSH is about to face 35-45 shots a night and they can let past a max of 3 goals per game, probably not even that.

I think FLA will take a clean sweep. The material difference is just too great.
