Nils is a good piece, but we have enough small offensive defenders, Chytil and Krav are meh. It would need to be next years 1st as this years has a condition on it. So replace Nils with Schneider, take out Krav and swap this years 1st with the 23’ 1st.
Scheifele/NY 22’ 2nd for Schneider/Chytil/23’ 1st (T10 protected)

Jets say no, all things indicate that they’ll be making big moves this summer. I’d imagine they’d be looking for a quality piece to be the main return in a deal for Scheifele and hellebuyck.

I still believe it would take Schneider to get the deal done.

This move would take NYR backwards…instead, extend Copp, and give Chytl another year at 3C with good players on that 3rd line. In the meantime look to trade a D prospect or two for a young C and/or draft and develop a few C prospects.

You're right, the Scheifele to NYR trades need to stop because; A - Schneider isn't available, period & B - Rangers are fine without Scheifele.

As others have said the only interesting piece the Rangers have is Schneider, so it would need to be Schneider, the 23 1st and probably something else.

As a Ranger fan, I don't think the Rangers need him and not at that cost, but its irrelevant as Schneider isn't available, period. He is a very good player and the Jets can keep him or trade him to someone else, that's just fine.

Yeah, I think that works for everybody. We all agree that the Jets aren't going to move Scheifele for pieces that don't help them. So, hopefully Ranger fans will stop with the lowball offers.

I wouldn't call what Rangers do in most cases trolling. They're just fans that massively overrate prospects and their actual value compared to proven NHL players.

It's what fans do, established players have various faults that can be pointed out to try and lower value, while prospects either have no faults or their faults can be excused because eventually that prospect will progress to their maximum potential and no less. Even though reaching maximum potential almost never happens.

More like 100%. I remember pre TDL posts by Jet fans about what Copp would get, stuff like Lundqvist plus a 1st round pick and another player or pick, and what did he actually get? A B prospect that can't beat out Greg McKegg for 4th line duties and what will end up being a pair of late 2nd round draft picks, so over valuing of players is done by all fans, including jets fans.
