Description
Let's have some fun with a hypothetical. Tried to make it as "fair" as I could.

No, this will not happen... but it would be cool.

Fun fact, Both Batherson's dad (Norm) and Norris' dad (Dwayne) played in the DEL for a few years so their sons both speak fluent German.

Still had to trade Norris to make it "fair".

Think that teams passed on him due to size.

I don't feel like that's an appropriate return for Draisaitl.

Norris, Tkachuk, and the 2022 1st is a better start.

I think both players arw barely scratching the surface I wouldn’t make that trade. Norris is going to score 40 goals easy, he’s crazy

I don't disagree with you. Neither team should make that trade but for the sake of actual value, Draisaitl is a bonafide top-5 player in the league and the acquisition cost should reflect that.

I’m just not sure I’d trade 2 top line players and a top 10 pick for an elite player. Just feels to much .

I'm assuming this is for fun but either way Detroit doesn't even consider that.

Formenton or Pinto for Peterka would be more "fair" value-wise. But to have a 20 year old (who just turned 20 mind you) to be a ppg in the AHL without having linemates carry him is something special. He's a blue chip prospect no doubt. Jarventie is not, 2 round pick upgrade is not the difference

Oh, I'm well aware. Love watching Mo. Sanderson, i think, will be the same level of game changer for Ottawa. It's why I involved him in the trade. Also considered Detroit could use someone else other than Ned... wink

No.

Formenton is an regular in the NHL who plays great on the PK and is a legit threat to get 2.5 breakaways a game. Plays with an edge. Just needs to learn to finish. Reminds me a lot of Kreider early on.

Pinto has been hurt and also has a handful of NHL games and is a centre.

JJP is ppg in the AHL which is great for Buffalo (don't rush him). Could translate great to the pro level, eventually. Roby is the closest comparable I could make in a trade. Gave a higher round pick due to JJ's "PPG status".

Mine and you're values are off regardless.

Thank you for banishing Aaron Dell to the shadow realm.

Did the best I could under the circumstance. If Drai is traded, it'll be for a massive haul. Top 5 guys like that don't get traded though. They get fed up from losing all the time and end up "testing the free-agent market". Sens fans know it all too well...

Ned has had a couple of rough games but he is young he's still Calder eligible this season. With the exception of the right side of our defense Detroit is a young team and I think Ned fits in well he going to grow right along with the rest of the team. Plus Detroit has time to let Ned grow a bit they aren't a playoff team yet. Plus Yzerman did draft Cossa with his 2nd pick in the 1st round last years draft and the last time he did that the goalie he drafted was Vasilevskiy. Seider was Yzerman's 1st draft pick as Detroit's GM. Honestly Ottawa trading for Draisaitl is far more likely. But it is fun dream.

I totally forgot about Cossa.

Stutzle for Raymond. You guys go for Drai and the rest of the Germans. Have fun!

He isn't I don't know where he was playing but Peterka - Elias - Stutzle was that insane line at the world juniors where all guys just went on a tear and got a bunch of points playing against the best of the other team. I think that you could sign him as a prospect.

Your value certainly is, you still have yet to point out how my value is off... besides saying that you wouldn't give up Formenton or Pinto for a prospect with as high or higher ceilings than both

Yeah but I can see Stutzle and Batherson tearing it up for many seasons to come. #INDATUB
