Curious on what fans would think these players would cost to aquire. Targeted players that wouldnt cripple the team they were moved from.

We would want a better player that addresses one of our needs. And if not, we can always play him at LD.

Kings are still very high on him, maybe the Kings would be interested in Romanov or Caufield, plus more.

Unlikely the Kings make a trade with Montreal on this, Turcotte is likely to be the primary piece used to get Chychrun.

Morrow is not better than Guhle, I know you like to troll the Habs but even you can see they are the same value.

As for Aho and Svechnikov I used them because that is the same value Caufield and Suzuki have to Montreal. In other words they are untouchable.

Los Angeles' primary needs are at RW and LD, so the prototypical players we'd be looking for are Cole Caufield or Kaiden Guhle. But I can't tell you what the three players' respective trade values are. Moreover, I have the feeling that we won't be trading Turcotte unless it's in a package for an established young #1LD like Chychrun or Provorov or Sergachev or Werenski, and I don't think that any of them are reasonably within reach, anyway.

Reading over this comment, I guess I'm not much help to you, am I?

Morrow is probably the best D prospect not in the NHL right now. That's got nothing to do with the habs. He's BRILLIANT. Watch some more UMass games.

That is just your opinion, look at the stats my friend. Morrow is good I will give him his dues but that doesn't make him better than Guhle. Morrow has 31 points in 33 games for UMASS Guhle has 39 points in 40 games. Both are sound defensive players both have good size and skating abilities. This is like when Av's fans were comparing Byram to Romanov, the difference in one to the other is so miniscule that it is not worth comparing.

1) Byram is MILES better than Romanov.

2) Morrow is streets better than Guhle

Morrow is used as a shutdown defenseman at UMass and he's still scoring at that rate. I'd also like to point out that defensemen are used to STOP teams scoring. Morrow is the more gifted skater, he's got far better hands, and he's smarter with what he does. Guhle is very, very good. But I'd rather have Morrow.

Nils can always play LD, while it would be a bit strange for him in the beginning I feel that a Lundkvist - Schneider duo could be DEADLY

Byram is not miles better than Romanov LMAO. Byram is not even an NHL regular yet and is concussion prone, Romanov is already a top 4 D man in his second full season. Byram (when healthy) and Romanovare really close in skill level. Everything you have said about Morrow directly translates to Guhle. He is also primarily being used as a shutdown D on one of the top teams in his league and is putting up those kinds of numbers as well. Come on now your bias is clearly showing try looking at them objectively without your Canes coloured glasses on.

Just because Lundqvist is stuck behind Schneider, doesn't mean he isn't still a top prospect or diminish his trade value. Plus, there is a possibility he or Schneider can move to LD and then be a pair. Rangers are not going to give him away cheap.

When Byram is healthy, he's better offensively than Romanov, he's better defensively than Romanov, he's better in transition than Romanov, he plays all situations... I don't see why you think Romanov is better?

The difference between Morrow and Guhle is that Guhle is 20. Morrow is 18. Morrow's developing at the same rate Cale Makar did at UMass. Guhle is great. Morrow's better.

As an unbiased observer who is not a fan of Colorado, Carolina or Montreal, you're wearing just as biased shades when it comes to that Romanov/Byram comparison. Byram, when healthy, is clearly superior to Romanov. He isn't an NHL regular yet because Colorado as a team is miles ahead of Montreal as a team. As such, the Avs have a significantly harder D-corp to become an NHL regular in. Of course the concussion issues cloud things, but in the fantasy world of always healthy players, I take Byram every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Yeah you aren’t gonna wanna give up what you would need to to get Lundkvist. Think of how MTL views Romanov and then say what would you trade him for.

What about Jake Sanderson, Cam York, Luke Hughes, Clarke? Point is Morrow is good but not the best D outside the NHL

Again, have him better than all of those. Again, best defenseman outside the NHL right now... from an analytical perspective it's borderline undeniable. The only one you can even make the case for is Power. And the underlying numbers don't favor the Wolverine.
