Yeah, NO chance we send Danault back to you in exchange for Christian Dvorak (or anyone else, for that matter). There's a reason why he asked for, and we gave him, a NMC. You get to live with both mistakes.

Don't think we don't see you sending Chiarot back to Calgary instead of Heineman!!

hard to say the Habs not signing Danault was a mistake. I mean, he didn't want to re-sign. Not a mistake from the Habs, there was nothing they could do,

Well, I think that acquiring Dvorak was a front-office mistake, but causing Danault to want to go elsewhere was a coaching mistake. Look at how he's thrived playing with Trevor Moore and Viktor Arvidsson who, although fine players, no one is nominating for the All-Star team despite their record as one of the most productive lines in the NHL since January 1. (Last night the broadcast guys said "the number one line" in either goals or points.)

Ottawa doesn't want Savard, no spot for him on our blueline, there's a reason we didn't sign them.

Fair. I wouldn't want to play for Ducharme either.
Dvorak was an awful move. Decent player, but Bergevin made one final drastic move to save his job and it has not worked.

It was not a front office or coaching or whatever mistake. They offered Danault a very close contract to what he got in LA, he just wanted to leave. A mistake would have been overpaying to make him stay. He just wanted to go somewhere else, and his father Bergevin joined him a few months later.

“Somehow [the former habs] returned.”
“Wait, do we believe this?”

I would’ve thought that the title and contents of this post would’ve tipped people off that this isn’t serious. I’m just a semi-retired* hockey fan posting random crap while being nostalgic for a better iteration of his favourite team

*To be clear I mean semi-retired in terms of my hockey fandom, not my job.

I could tell it was a joke with the title, I was just pointing something out. People do tend to take everything way too seriously on this site.
