Im curious when the deadline comes around if Fleury IS moved, what it will be for. Because some of the projected returns hawks fans have are mind blowing when they got him for legit nothing and Fleury may not want to leave

That’s not even close to getting him

The first two steps are the following 1. Take out Mrazek, he’s not nhl caliber anymore 2. Add a first instead

Miller trade looks alright.

CHI trade might work if they see value in Mrazek, but they really shouldn't. I think trading him for Edmonton or Washington's first makes more sense for them.

Hasn't Soucy been good for Seattle? I would think they'd want more than that for him.

And that right side is still pretty terrible after all these moves and they have no defensive depth unless Muzzin is back for the playoffs. Miller is great, but I don't see how you can look at the defense they have now and decide that Miller is the big piece they need to go out and get.

Soucy can play right side when Muzzin comes back for playoffs. Then schenn and Lyubuskin rotate in like Tampa did with Schenn and Bogosian

They are just doing LTIR that everyone is doing now. He has a concussion which is serious stuff, but they wont rush him back and let him be fresh for playoffs

That's maybe enough for the hawks to take mrazek's cap dump, now pay for Flower at 50%....

Why do you think NIemela is a better prospect than Liljegren?

I've mentioned it before but I don't think the Canucks would have any interest in Robertson just because we have enough LD. The value is good though maybe swap out Robertson for Knies.

The fact that he's producing in Liiga, a men's league, is a big reason for me. Plus, the fact that people that watch and analyze his games have said that he's surprisingly good defensively. Also, the fact that Leaf fans consider him their 2nd best prospect behind Knies.

Mrazek is NOT a good goalie. I honestly wouldn't even do that trade even if you dropped MAF.

It’s been reported teams have asked about Mrazek. He has some value around the league, might not be much but let’s not act like he’s a negative asset. Maybe the hawks don’t get him, leafs could move him to a different team for around a 3rd I would think. So say a second and third for flower? That’s not crazy, if someone wants to pay a first, ok cool, take that deal but let’s not act like that offer is insane. You got the guy for nothing and he’s not going to be back next year.

Lol. This is clearly more of a bias personal opinion than actual fact. Because whether you like him or not, Mrazek is absolutely a NHL calibre goalie.

Niemela isn’t available. People on here seem to have skipped right past the part of Friedman saying that Toronto intends on keeping their top prospects, and he directly mentioned Knies and Niemela in that group, and said he believes Robertson isn’t on the market either.

Technically he's under contract with the Leafs so he is an NHL goalie. Is he NHL calibre...maybe as a backup. I'll give you that. BUT he's 100% NOT a starting goalie and he's got a $3.8M contract that comes with which is $2M too much and he's also not a Pending UFA. I've had to suffer through years of watching Mrazek in CAR. The nicest way of putting Mrazek is that he's been consistently inconsistent for about 5 years now. The more realistic description is that he's the guy you pull you're hair out and stress over because you literally don't know which Mrazek you're getting on any given night. AND NO, that's not the way for every goalie. Mrazek is just SOOO aggresive and he lets up too many rebounds. He'd be a great goalie if everything went "according to plan", but that's not how anything works. PLUS, CAR imo has the best defense in the NHL. TOR's defense isn't the worst by a long shot either. Imagine how many goals he'd let up if he wasn't on good teams.
