I understand, but some of them need to chill! I don’t feel bad for the leafs fans, but I do feel bad for the players. There was too many ignorant leaf fans that I’ve talked to, that made it so I just don’t care.. they just need to tighten it up, and win a round at least.. some trades would help a lot! Also, you can’t trade the leafs much… only the players they want.. which is usually Josh Manson, and Damon Severson. But then they try and trade for Zub, and trade Holl to the oilers… some people…

Caufield has 50 goal potential, you don't find a pure sniper just like that. Yes lafreniere has potential of 100 points, but if we don't have pure snipers who's he gonna pass to? You don't trade someone like caufield just yet, let him develop then figure it out. But for comparisons sake lets say they have equal value. Chiarot will return a 1st and a 3rd / 3rd round caliber prospect. Let's say Toronto trades a 1st and der argechunstev for him, then lehkonen, lehky will ONLY get traded if we get a 1st / 1st round caliber prospect + 2nd / 2nd round caliber prospect. So let's say you have lundqvist and kravtsov from NYR. Let's say the habs draft someone like seamus casey with the leafs pick. You're essentially trading:

Caufiled, Cole
Casey, Seamus / 1st round pick
Lundqvist, Nils
Kravtsov, Vitali
Der Argechunstev, Semyon
2nd round pick

Lafreniere, Alexis

Even if lafreniere has more value than Caufield he doesn't have much more. Then you add all this. Ask any single person (except for the delusional people like you), they would want what the habs would send over rather than what the rangers are sending over.
