Montreal has had both Scandella and Chiarot, and within a short period of time. Chiarot is better than Scandella and by a wide margin. Plus he is FAR better in the playoffs.

In particular, (1) if the Leafs deem it necessary to pay a first to get out of Mrazek's contract, they can get a better return than Jake Allen, and Toronto doesn't have to pay to get rid of Nick Ritchie because they can just buy him out, and (2) you're dreaming if you think that Florida is going to pay two firsts for Jeff Petry or Tampa is going to pay a first and more for Artturi Lehkonen.
