Yeah, I agree currently at 11 and going lower. I’d rather have the high end pick versus a mid 20s + mid 30s.

We’re currently 11th and not any lower because a few guys are carrying the team. Look at the goal/shot differential. Vrana will help with offense but he’s not Ovechkin.

Guys I said who ever end up between 14th to 18th, so it might be DET, might be another team. Just a team willing to trade down around 16th

Detroit's not finishing in the 16th OA range. Best i see Detroit doing is in the 8th OA to 12th OA range and that's if they finish in the 50% range here on out..

To add another high 2nd round pick, it's pretty obvious... The OP even said this was based on Detroit drafting around middle of the first, obviously this changes if Detroit's 1st moves up, so I don't understand why so many people in this thread are nitpicking the trade, based on a scenario that currently doesn't exist AND was already covered in the post... it just seems pedantic...
