For the Kings, we are closer to a playoff spot when the Oil do poorly, so it's not in their best interest unless they lose a lot of games by the trade deadline.

Korpi's key is consistency. When he's been a back-up (to Bob, now Elvis), he has not played well. When he was the outright starter (rookie year, his all-star year) he was good.

Either way, he can be had for a mid-rounder. Can talk retention and sending Koski to CBJ for a bump in the pick.
