If you were actually rebuilding, Varlamov, Lee, Pelech, Pulock, Pageau, and Beau would all be gone. The reason teams get stuck in the middle of not being good enough to compete and being too bad to get good picks is because they only go half in on the rebuild. They constantly retool without every actually improving.

if you’re rebuilding, you’re moving everyone (or at least a significant portion of) but barzal, sorokin, p&p, dobson, wahlstrom, salo and maybe beauvillier and mayfield for now. nelson would probably net a first and a solid prospect, and i bet varlamov could return a first. not sure about anyone else’s value.
