Quoting: hazard
All that for 3 UFA's that will walk at the end of the season? Yeah no. That literally doesn't make the leafs better than they are right now, and you lost a 1st and a 2nd for it. not worth it
2022 3rd for Rittich
2021 1st, 2021 4th, 2022 4th for Foligno
2022 6th for Nash
Those were last year's deadline acquisitions for the Leafs, all UFAs that didn't get resigned.
Leddy is a big upgrade with lots of playoff experience and a Stanley Cup, that itself can be invaluable. Also if one of Reilly or Muzzin get hurt there is some insurance there, still have Sandin to fill in as well.
Stetcher is an upgrade to Liljegren with his skill and experience and again insurance if there is an injury.
I wouldn't say Fabbri is much of an upgrade to Kerfoot to be honest but he is a speedy offensive winger that can play third line centre. At 2M less than Kerfoot.
Also with them be pending UFAs, I gave the Leafs an extra 6.750M in cap space for next season so now they would have almost 13M in cap space.
Also didn't give up a top prospect.
