The shine has fallen from Turcotte's apple a bit. And you can;t just say oh he was 5th overall, that's meaningless at this point. Anderssen was 7th OA, and he sure as hell ain;t worth that anymore. Turcotte is just Turcotte now. Also, I suspect the Kings won't be a lottery team by the end of the season. Even more important, 20 teams would demolish that Chych offer if he was available, which is almost certainly is not.

I like this trade but IF (big if) Arizona wants to move on from Chychrun, I feel like one more piece is needed since he's more established

A negative probability is not possible and you don't need to be so mean about it and IMO thats a decent framework for a trade, a bit more would need to be added though

But no, it's not going to come off as a decent framework from Arizona's standpoint, which is the one that matters. Especially coming from a team loaded with young talent like LA. Any deal for Chych is going to hurt bad. This one doesn't.

That is a very solid offer...dealing from depth from LAK. And getting ARI two, maybe three cornerstone pieces.

I think that Arizona might be looking for something a little more immediate -- after all, Brock Faber isn't even signed yet. Kale Clague might be the missing piece -- I know it's a small sample, but he already looks like an NHL defenseman. Or an actual roster player like Blake Lizotte or Jaret Anderson-Dolan. I think that we might even pull the trigger if the demand was Rasmus Kupari plus Alex Turcotte plus our 2022 first.

Arizona would be crazy to look for more immediate pieces. Let me make the argument why. This team is likely to be Terrible for 2-3 years. You can’t throw these young guys into the fire and try to develop them. I’d rather they develop most of them on an AHL team at once and then bring them up within 1-2 years of each other in 2 phases. Kinda like what Ottawa a few season ago. You can’t play your best young players with guys like Eriksson and other teams cap dumps and expect them to succeed

Intersting insight! I'll have to think about it. Right now, it seems dubious to me, because you gotta start somewhere, and the sooner the better. (Old guys LOVE bromides!)

I just think they have a lot of holes on the team, they will get filled with all the picks they have . They just have too few good players right now to bring up the young ones and have them succeed. I’m a bit scared for Hayton’s development on this team
