Description

Obviously, the price may vary depending on the ask from an inter-divisional team. The closest comparable to the players in trade I can think of. Tuch and White are similar contracts and age. I guess Greig or Formenton would be comparable to Krebs. Little NHL experience but decent ceiling.

I don't know... value is all out of whack.

Nah, Tuch is better than White and Krebs is held in higher regards as a prospect than Greig, but I get the similarities. Injured roster player and recent first round pick, right?

Tuch is quite a lot better than White and same with Krebs and Grieg. Realistically it would be have to include someone like Formenton

I think Ottawa would have had to include Pinto. And since they’re a division rival, it would’ve cost more. The ask would probably have been White + Brannstrom + Pinto + 2022 1st and possibly another 1st or 2nd

Yep, idk if batherson can keep up his current pace but if so...maybe Batherson + pinto would be high enough to eliminate the division rival tax. I dont think the Sabres where taking offers from divisional opponents lol... Maybe listened but...that's a bad idea with a guy who could be a top 5 player in the world if he tried.

I think it’s protected . But unprotected next year, doubt Vegas will be bad next year. They can do a lot this upcoming summer with guys like Dadonov , Pacioretty etc. They could even bring in Gaudreau if he goes to free agency

Ottawa's 1st likely holds a lot more value than the Vegas 1st but yes Krebs>Greig and Vegas late 2nd>Ottawa's early 3rd. Like I said... the package is definitely lacking.

I think its pretty close but Regardless if you agree with the similarities of this deal and the one that got it done.. it is alot less then what every buffalo fan was asking for on this site. I am sure their is alot of disappointment like most of us predicted.
