Marody
1. Is likely better than Beagle
2. Looked quite good in preseason
3. Is just moving into his prime atm
4. Is perfectly cost controlled for the team
5. Could be packaged for an actually good player
Why not Johan Larsson there instead of you know who, he's one of the best pure defensive forwards alive, 95th percentile xGA in tough deployment
Jay Beagle has infinitely more playoff experience. He is also a career 56.7% in the faceoff circle compared to Larsson's 49.8%. Experience is what the Oilers need in their bottom 6 imo.

Columbus has no desire to move Gavrikov right now. Turris has negative value and the prospect is a b-/c level project at best. Thus they decline easily.
This is a TDL trade and when Columbus is far from a playoff spot I'm sure they will take offers on Gavrikov. Tullio is a B prospect, and has a lot of potential. That 2nd can be a 1st and then I think that's close to an overpay. Turris barely has any negative value because its a cheap 1 year remaining contract.

Gavrikov's value right now is "go away unless you're giving us an upgrade". We can't spare him at all. An injury would leave our defense in worrisome shape.
Given that, trying to foist Turris on us in the process is the sort of thing that leads to demands for satisfaction.
This is a TDL move as the title of the AGM says. Columbus should be selling at TDL because they will not be close to playoffs

I'm assuming Lagesson is to make room and that's why you're giving up a 2nd. It doesn't make much sense to give up a young player making under a million especially when you are still over. If your giving up a 2nd for Greiss at the TDL I'd have no problem taking Turris instead of Lagesson.
No Lagesson is to add some value, as there is no spot on him for the Oilers but could be a spot in Detroit. Klefbom should be on LTIR so the Oilers have cap space, I just forgot to move him there. Ya maybe something like Turris, 2nd for Greiss 50% retained could work
