Totally entitled to your opinion/analysis, but what evidence do you go off of to say Pettersson and Aho are better than Drai? Must be some pretty extreme differences you see on the defensive side/all around game, because on sheer offensive ability, Drai is way ahead of those two.

Its more all around game, Both Pettersson and Aho provide decent defensive abilities and Aho i think doesnt get enough credit for the value he provides. He can play a lot of different roles

Are we sure Bieksa wasn't exaggerating for the sake of a broadcast? Prominent Dmen that you have put Chiarot ahead of include Hughes, Nurse, Reilly, Martinez, Krug, Toews, Sergachev, Muzzin, Brodin, Giordano....

Okay. So you think the gap is that big between those players and Drai defensively that they rank higher (looking at regular season) than Drai's 299 points over the past 3 seasons, compared to their 209 points (Aho) and 153 points (Pettersson)? I know Pettersson especially missed some time, but injury proneness is also an important consideration for how valuable players are in their abilities to perform.

Just wondering the overall rationale. Because that's a big offensive output gap.

You should watch Pettersson. He doesn't add much on the defensive side of the puck.

Drai is way way to low, he isn't bad defensively he was +29 last and he has great stick, I have seen countless times were he poke checked a opposing playing coming into the D zone and got the puck and started rush that lead to a scoring chance. Also Nurse is a top 10 LD.
