I don’t think the Sharks trade him with Hertl, that would be like a discounted Hertl if so. If you want Hertl there needs to be a prospect coming back. Drouin and Byron are more of cap dumps than anything, Armia we don’t need and Poehling is overrated thanks to one good game.

We do not want Kane and Hertl doesn't want to be on a team with Kane either from my understanding.

Kane and his problems at 5m X 4 might be worth Drouin and Byron at a combined 8.9m X 2.
But Sharks don't like the rest. Hertl for a first and second, probably not enough for a full season. Poehling seems strictly AHL, and Armia at 3.4 X 4 doesn't seem like good value at all.

the only reason we trade Hertl is cause he refuses to come back with Kane here, so trading Kane and Hertl would guaranty Montreal doesn't resign Hertl.
