-Think the Leafs one is fine, but meh...
-Detroit one is an overpay, unfortunately. Even with an extension in place, that's a 21 year old who's poised to break out, and probably a top 10 pick in a very strong draft.
-The Philly ship has likely sailed after their additions this summer.
-That's wayyyy too much for Shatty. Maybe a 2nd total and a low end prospect with that retention, or Drouin straight up, but other than that, there's not a ton of value there, even after a decent season.
-Saw the Rico trade earlier and didn't get it then either-Same money but less term than they would have had to pay for Danault, who alledgedly wanted to stay, so I'm not sure why Bergevin would flip the script and go out to give up assets for a worse player?

Who thinks Lindholm is worth a young 2nd line winger (drafted 6 OVR) and potential top 5 pick in 2022?

You tell me, I just threw something together for the trades and not even the teams I think players will go to or any of that, like I said in the explanation above the trades.

I thought those two would be the most accurate, as for the others, I was not so sure so I just threw things in them

Kind of thought the MTL trade like Henrique and Shattenkirk (with retention) for a decent roster player, younger defensemen and a pick then Drouin, a pick and prospect for the salary dump

This is the response I was hoping for, so thanks my man.

I don't necessarily think each player is going to the teams I sent them to and for that value but more teams I could see having interest and a rough estimate on values while hoping for this response back on them and even what someone thinks each players value is

Yes, you said that in the explanation but you also said this is what people think the values would be. Which is why I commented who because there isn’t a comp to justify that value.

I think there needs to be a distinction between one year of Lindholm or an extension. Most need to understand the likelihood of a sign and trade versus a rental. A bottom feeder team isn’t trading that lottery pick. When was the last time a top 5 pick was traded knowing it was a top 5 pick? It’s outside the salary cap era.

That being said you’d be looking at a team that feels they have a good shot as signing him to an extension and being competing or at east views Lindholm as putting them over the top. I’m not going to speculate who that would be but they wouldn’t have those premiere picks. So you’re probably looking at a first round pick from a playoff team + B+/A- as the goal.

Fair enough

Just wanted people’s thoughts on the values of the players not specifically the team or what I said

i like lindholm, but i think that’s a bit of an overpay and i don’t see why detroit would do it. i could see a contending team giving up a late 1st + prospect for him, but i don’t see his value as likely top 10 pick + top prospect.

yeah, i think in this case it does depend on where the first is. since detroit’s 1st is likely to be top 10 or maybe even a lottery pick, i think that’s too much. if it was tampa and likely to be a late first, i think that’s closer.

i think either just a 1st and a good prospect or if the midround is included an eh prospect is fair.

Alright, yeah! I could be down for that if we aren’t going to resign him

What teams you think could be interested? TDL trade or sooner?

Lindholm, on an expiring contract, would be useful to a contender as a 2/3 Dman. He didn't get a ton of PP time in 2021 (15 total minutes in 18 games), but in previous years he's shown he can man the PP. He is also competent on the PK. It is a little concerning that his on ice save percentage isn't even league average (and that's with Gibson playing behind him), so that might create some pause. He would be an upper tier TDL addition.

At this moment, you might get a late 1st from a contender, plus a B prospect. At the TDL, you might get more from a contender depending on need. He does have a fair amount of playoff experience, so at his age, he'd be a huge get for a contender.

Zero chance anyone outside of the top 8 teams would trade for him though, which will limit prospect quality coming back the other way. The money is a sticky issue too (though less so at the TDL).

I think lindholm gets a first and decent prospect, might be a bit more with salary retained. Washington is weak at LD this year. Minny's is sceptical same with LA, although I don't know if LA would be a big buyer this year. Islanders also need a LD as well, I think they could be a big buyer at the deadline if not sooner.
Detroit would be a buyer for Fowler I bet but I don't see them parting ways with one of their firsts.
I don't think that return for Rakell is all that great, I would be looking at adding Abramov or similar to the deal. Dermott and Mikheyev don't hold much value.
I could see Montreal maybe being interested in Henrique and Manson, maybe Shattenkirk. Having a deal with Drouin and something else could be viable if Drouin doesn't fit there anymore.
