Anderson isn’t getting traded. I think that’s pretty obvious considering they just signed him to a 7 year contract a year ago.

Value-wise it's a very decent trade, it even favors the Hawks quite a bit, but Anderson is not getting traded as long as Bergevin is the GM. The management values him very highly, hence the 7-year contract.

As a Hawks fan, I'd do this. I like what JA brings in the playoffs. I know it might be a higher AAV than preferred, but the world isn't perfect. His size and speed would really help the Hawks.

The idea isn't bad. The problem is that it's unlikely any recently signed winger with term moves. That means only Drouin, Lehkonen, and Byron, are realistically available, as Gallagher is not about to be traded.
Outside chance KK moves in the right deal, but I wouldn't bet on it.

MTL just signed him a year ago so they'll keep him but why do you want that contract? Anderson will likely be a below-average 3rd liner by 2023.

Just a tough trade cause strome would be good as a 3C for mtl but at the same time not to beat a dead horse but ya the Habs just signed him long term for a reason

Bottom line, we missed the boat on bringing back Saad as a free agent if this was the goal to add a speedy tough on the puck RW player.

I wish Montreal went for Reinhart for the same reason. Florida will be their direct competition for a playoff spot and, not only does MTL lack a center, Reinhart will help to improve FLO roster a bunch...

yeah definelty makes sense. Personally I don't think MTL has a chance against florida as long as their big dogs stay healthy. Florida has a really nice roster

Their defense is thin and they dont have a No 1 goalie as we speak. But yeah the foward group is solid.
