I don't mind the idea of the deal, I do think the Flames only look at something like this if they are tearing it down completely. If they move Mangiapane this year it's for a bonafide help them win now deal.

We are in agreement on this. Bowers is a recent 1st rd pick that projects as a 3C and 2nd pick at least gets the talks going. CGY needs to do something drastic, but this isn’t it.

CGY would say no now but just wait a few months for him to bust out like all of their other previously good players.
