Description

Based on the CapFriendly math here, the Blackhawks could bring in Fleury and Johnson and still have a significant amount of cap space for tomorrow's FA period (if they wanted to use it) or have some cap space to give DeBrincat and/or Kubalik new deals.

this team would definitely need to add a fairly capable LD and LW but man that was a pretty quick turnaround from that "were rebuilding" letter either way lol

There is a lot of cap coming off the books next year too. SURE, RFAs need raises, but DeHaan's $4.5M? No need for Shaw's $3.9M to be compliant Day one either...so $8.4M with those two.

That's why I wanted to create $10 million of cap space on this active roster. Jones' AAV goes up, DeBrincat, Dach and maybe Kubalik will need new deals.
