That Nate Schmidt trade will cripple the rangers next year and no one is going to take him to help out I don't think. Might be better off keeping strome, playing him on the wing since goodrow doesn't sign for that little and getting a vet LD for cheap via free agency

The Buffalo deal might be closer than people think. If it's short or the price needs to be higher to trade Eichel in the East, maybe add Strome. No one has to pay anywhere near that much for Schmidt so it shouldn't be a problem. The 3rd alone might work at that ugly cap hit.

Georgiev to Toronto makes some sense but also a guy you could throw into the Eichel deal if needed.

Hajek and henriksson is already enough to acquire Schmidt. Or the 3rd alone. So keep the 3rd, keep Strome and move him for a 1st or 2nd &3rd type of deal.

The nate Schmidt trade has been rumored and rangers need a good veteran LD. Your probably right the term is too long and money a little high. We do need a shorter term cheaper option at LD then..

That buffalo trade is pretty spot on they don't easily decline thats naive to think there getting anything more than that.

Tampa trade was just messing around because tampa desperately needs to shed salary so they will probably keep Yannick gourde over cirelli.. and they still have to get rid of one of killorn and Johnson or both..

The rangers in a blockbuster trade and other depth trades will probably lose chytil and strome for cap reasons.. so they need a good reliable 3C to play with either laf or kreider if he gets demoted. They need to bolster their 4th line obviously. And a good veteran LD. Trade Georgie for cap reasons is obvious.
