I think they’d have to make him a main piece. Not the biggest fan of Kempe for the Wild and the 2nd is kind of underwhelming, maybe you could get in on Vilardi but I don’t know where they think he fits with Byfield and Turcs coming up.

LA might consider trading for Dumba, but only if it happens after the expansion draft. They don't have the room to protect an extra defenseman.

Why? This is a fairly common idea that comes up and most Rangers fans seem ok with the concept, even if it needs some adjusting to preference. I've even seen a lot of Rags fans propose this exact thing.

Vilardi would cost a 1st round pick and a "good" prospect or a 2nd round pick and a top prospect.

I'm really not sure why Minnesota would trade Dumba for bottom six LW. That doesn't make sense to me.

Doughty, Roy, and Walker.

I don't think most people probably worry about losing Roy or Walker if they're getting Dumba. Dumba is pretty significantly better than either of them.

Dumba is also significantly more expensive than either of them. You need inexpensive guys filling in the bottom pairing. Roy and Walker are both signed to AAVs significantly less than their actual value.

Just like MInnesota - who is trying to prevent losing Dumba for nothing - LA isn't going to want to lose either of those guys for nothing.

the absolute last thing the rangers need to do is trade their 2C for a winger, if there are nyr fans ok with this concept today I question their judgment. there's not even the BU connection anymore since quinn is gone, not that that was worth very much in the first place. just makes 0 sense for nyr look at our depth chart

edit: i can only assume you saw that from nyr fans last summer when we were convinced strome was a breadman dependent flash in the pan, but definitely not recently its just makes absolutely no sense

To sum up:

(1) P & P are idiots for suggesting that sickening package for Seth Jones.
(2) P & P are idiots for thinking that we'd make such a trade prior to the expansion draft unless Matt Roy or Sean Walker was a part of the package (Madden, young RD, 2021 second).
(3) Dumba for Vilardi feels pretty close to me (i.e., little adjustment needed), and Kempe wouldn't be that good a fit for you guys unless somehow you lose Kaprizov.

I just spent 2 minutes looking and found these - all Rangers created ACGMs. This idea has been floating around all spring/summer. I don't care to find you more examples, but there's plenty out there.

oh ok well this ones easy to figure out... these are all terrible and have the rangers overhauling their roster. not gonna happen and HARD pass. you need centers to win and unless buch, kravy, or kakko get traded theres no room for greenway. ill admit i shouldnt have underestimated the stupidity of our fanbase, thats on me

Yeah I def don't disagree with you on that, I'm just saying the general idea of flipping Strome to MIN for Greenway and/or picks is immensely common/popular from Rangers fans. I'm really not exaggerating when I say that I could probably find you at least a dozen examples in the last 2-3 months.

I get your stance though and I can appreciate not agreeing with a proposed trade.

i just cannot imagine trading a center for anything other than another center at this point its simply terrible management
