Please stay away from Hall. He wasn't a fit and won't be a fit. He'd be too expensive for what he'd bring to the Oilders.
I rather take my chance on Klefbom than to take on Conolly.
I don't know if Elvis is the (long term) solution and thus I don't want him (for that price). Imo there is similar options in FA and we'd be losing less/nothing.
Yeah, I hear ya on the Elvis thing, I like Ullmark a lot to take over the spot with Koskinen and platoon for a year with Smith while the young Russian goalie or Rodrigue play more North American professional hockey..
I think I am just over Klefbom and his shoulder, I love when he's in the lineup, the question is when will he be in the lineup, with Keith taking over as the 2nd or 3rd LHD it makes Klef expendable, and yes he has regressed a bit and is going to be 38, but the dude is in crazy good shape, is super healthy, can still skate, and move the puck, I can see a significant increase for the analytical nerds to stop complaining with him making passes to Connor, Leon on the breakouts rather than Strome or Pius Suter(with all due respect to both players, guys I like on the Hawks), but it's also the intangibles you can't really teach, that comes from experience, and what hasn't the dude experienced? Norris-check, Conn Smythe-Check, Gold Medals-Check, Stanley Cups-check, he can help with the development of not only Bouchard, and Broberg, but even Nurse to get to that next echelon...
For the Hall portion I get what you're saying, but should the Oilers not make any FA signings for goalies, and acquire one via trade, they'd only have soo many assets to bring in another winger elsewhere, which is why I looked to Free Agency jic, and realistically he's the best of what they need...
