Respectable offer for Wood. Dk if we would do it just cuz woods importance to team, but it’s probably the fairest offer I’ve seen in a while

Hard to think of a team less needing an RHD than the Rangers. Easy decline from them.

Holl would play bottom pairing for them and have the ability to jump in the top 4 when trouba inevitably gets hurt but you ranking prospects ahead of holl is laughable that Swedish kid hasn’t played a game in North America yet I doubt he’s gonna jump in and play big minutes right away

If Appleton isn't taken by Seattle, the Jets will keep him. They won't trade him for two players they have absolutely no use for.

Appleton definitely helps the Leafs, but that trade does not help the Jets. By the time the Jets start considering depth acquisitions, Appleton will already be on the Seattle roster. Better to lose one roster player for nothing (Seattle) than to lose two roster players (Toronto, then Seattle) and get scraps in return.

That trade would be before the expansion draft

Rangers penalty kill was 10th in the league. Leafs were 24th.
Rangers had only 7 goals more scored against them compared to the Leafs.
So Id say the Rangers defense isnt that bad.

Now If youre talking in the toughness category, yea sure, they could use some, but it would be on the left side, not right.

Jets are better off losing one roster player in Appleton for nothing to Seattle. If the Jets did that trade, then they lose two roster players: Appleton (Toronto) and then DeMelo/Stanley (Seattle) and they get ballast in return. They can get a third pairing for cheap on the market without giving assets and Anderson simply isn't needed.

It’s laughable that you say “Swedish kid that hasn’t played a game in North America” and Robertson/Schneider aren’t worth playing over someone with a -9+ cf rel% last season on a good team. Hell, even Brendan smith wasn’t that bad. Rangers just resign him at a league minimum deal and keep gauthier. You can have hajek essentially for free anyway.

You are putting words in my mouth

Holl only blocks them from playing "that swedish kid" on the 3rd line. Think they would rather bring Lundkvist up if he's ready. Also 13 minutes a night is not big minutes.

That makes it worse then, as the Jets would lose a player to Seattle, Appleton to Toronto and replace them with two players that don't serve a purpose for the Jets. Better to just let Seattle take Appleton.

Lol try and say something original. Its the same awful insults that dont even make sense every time, you baboon.

I am just simply pointing out the irony of a team known for the defensive gaffs trading away one of their top 4 dmen then saying the receiving team needs all the defensive help possible.

And I’m simply pointing out the fact the flames had 51 pts how is that a insult ? Stating facts you don’t like is not a “insult” ….lol

Because its completely unrelated and was used in a derogatory method. Oh here let me look that up for you:
