Quoting: Zachzeller
Ha ha. What a surprise the bruins fans are coming in hot. Halal is gone, Koskinen 1.5 mil retained, he’s your backup with only 1 year left. Mike Reilly is gone, Jones is instantly your second best LD, if the league knowing oilers are desperate for a left winger and that will hamper their trade proposals, then the league knowing your head coach hates debrusk and he can’t properly be showcased decreases his value (your logic not mine)
Handful of “scratch tickets”, ok it’s a handful of draft picks which your team will need going into a rebuild after this year. I can see the insecurity and anger from b fans knowing their team is heading into descent. Fun to watch, thanks for coming
-Halak lost his job to Swayman and Koskinen isn't even worth being a back-up.
-No idea if Reilly will be back (Boston has interest), but to think Jones becomes our 2nd best LHD is laughable and shows your lack of knowledge on the Bruins players. Also funny that in your ACGM's Jones is either gone in expansion or you sign other guys and he's not even in your top 6.
-Cassidy doesn't hate DeBrusk, that's some **** made up by unknowledge fans and click bait hockey writers.
Now on the draft picks. Looking at historical data the odds of a player playing 100+ games in the NHL round....
2nd round - 34%
3rd round - 27%
5th round - 15%
So the odds of hitting on an NHL regular are slim at best.
There is zero insecurity and anger from B's fans. We know the window is closing and we're in win now mode. The offer you have hear doesn't do anything to help them win now. It could be worse for Bruins fans though and we could have had the number 1 pick in 4 of the last 11 years and still only qualified for the playoff 3 times in that time frame. We could have been gifted a generational player only to see our franchise over the next 6 years still accomplish nothing. Imagine trying to chirp a fanbase when in the last two years your own teams was swept by the 2nd lowest P% team in the playoffs and the year before managed 1 win game vs a team that finished dead last in their division and was barley playing .500 hockey.
