This is perhaps the closest to perfect GM post that this website is gonna get. Good job man. The only problem is I'd trade Drouin for salary cap space and get some good pick-ups for free agency or trade him for a cheaper (may not but up as many points) but more consistent player. Good job man.

Pens just don’t need Drouin. At all. Zucker is more of a fiesty, hard nose, defensive option than Drouin. And Zucker is a 20 plus goal scorer. Drouin not so much. I just don’t see it.

Zuckers bad season was 9 goals and 18 points in 38games. About .5 PPG.

And he was hurt most of the year and wasnt able to get chemistry with a line.

Same with last season but he still had 12 points in 15 games with the Pens last season.

And that still doesn’t defeat the fact that Drouin just had his second bad season in a row to Zuckers 1 and that they had similar seasons. It also doesn’t defeat the fact that Zucker brings leadership and Drouin brings headaches. If Drouin was really that much better than Zucker then you wouldn’t be trading for him 1 for 1, if at all. So nahhhh
