Description
The purpose of moving Jake is to free up space to sign Hamilton, so it's purely for futures.

I may be off on Granlund's contract, but my rationale was taking a one year contract to try and up his next contract.

You don’t know Blackhawks hockey Zadorov spent time on the top pairing so we need more of a return

What I want in a Zadorov trade is a prospect a top 4 dman who is younger then 30 the you’d be good to go maybe a draft pick as a sweetener (btw it’s not required but still)

I think that’d be too rich for the pens. I agree that the hawks could get more than a depth dman and a mid-late pick for Zadorov. But this is just a troll anyway lol. I mean he is giving up a top prospect who killed in in the CHL, a 2nd round pick, a goalie prospect, a top 4 dman who is young and on what could be an absolute steal of a contract in a couple years, and a starting goalie on a decent contract that simply had a few bad games for his first ever post season action as a starting goalie for another starting goalie coming off a down year (albeit playing for the team he plays for is understandable lol)

Ottawa declines. We're not ready to compete just yet. Still pieces missing and some growing to be done by our future core, adding Guentzel wouldn't be enough and he'd be in his final season when Ottawa is legit ready for a cup run. But if you want to talk about Kapanen... we'd listen...

Bc a player spent """time on the first pairing""" means literally nothing. The return Pittsburgh is giving here is honestly just fine

Kapanen would actually be a great fit. I like Guentzel, don’t hate the value on the trade (two 1sts, two 2nds) but as a left shot winger it wouldn’t make a ton of sense with Tkachuk and Stuetzle already on the left side. But Kapanen would actually be a great fit, RFA after next season too. Sign me up!

Sabres lhd- dahlin, probably power, jacob bryson (who the team loves), samulesson (recent 2nd rounder), ryan johnson (recent first), and probably jake mccabe on a short term contract after a gruesome leg injury. Why would they move anything at all for another one?

Its not good value for us. Just give us a 2nd/3rd pick and you would be in the business I would think. This offer currently is not suitable as we have a lot of LD in the same calibre as your offering and the 4th is too late for big Z.

you know why you can get Zadorov for a 4th and Riikola, because he's a pylon.

This whole thing is just horrible. Kassian......Kassian. You just brought in Kassian. For Zucker, who played 38 games due to injury and was on pace for 20 goals.
And you traded away a fortune for a goalie. Like what goalie has ever returned that. EVER?
This isn't how you build a winning team.

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. Kapanen being RFA means we have a shot of keeping him for longer AND since he has only hit the 20 goal mark ONCE, and fell well short of it 2 seasons in a row, the price tag should be lower. Maybe a 1st and a 2nd? A 1st, 2nd and Abramov? Something along those lines. I'd prefer to not trade Sokolov, I have a good feeling about him.
