    Détails additionnels:
SEA get a young talented top6 LW they can build around. Considering how scarce it is for SEA to pick young talented forwards & how there is an abundance of LD available, in theory this makes alot of sense for SEA

To everyone but Boston fans , this is how this trade reads: "Boston trades 2 players that they view as crap right now. In return Seattle should be happy to trade one of the better players they'll probably pick up in the expansion draft."

      Seattle 100% declines

Not that I would do this trade but DeBrusk has struggled but he isn't bad/likely to bounce back. Also, let's stop acting like Ryan Graves is a really good player.

If you're going to go this far and have cap room left, why not pick up a couple more players?

I like Graves, but I rather just hold onto Lauzon & DeBrusk and see what it would cost to have SEA select Zboril.

Lauzon at 5v5 this year had advanced per 60 numbers that weren't far off from Graves. Of course where they separate is on the offensive side. Graves is better at generating offense than Lauzon is, but I think Lauzon still has more to offer there. It may not be to what Graves does, but that's fine. I don't see the difference in Graves and Lauzon to be DeBrusk. I get the kid had a down year, but just to run through the list of why I'm calling this a throwaway season for him...

      - Covid Protocol twice (confirmed with covid once)
      - Admitted to mentally struggling with the isolation (not family or significant other around) due to NHL's protocol
      - Was asked to move from his natural position and play on his off-wing (something he's never really done).
      - His two most common linemates this year were Coyle (career worst p/gp) and Ritchie (who was invisible most nights over the last 30 games).

It was basically a perfect storm deal for DeBrusk this year.

Seems to me you don't know these 2 "crap" players all to well, while overvalueing graves

I didn't say I think they're crap players. I said that's how Boston (fans) view them---assumedly based on their recent performances and disappointing seasons . . . at least given a lot of what I've heard and read, anyway (with the exception of trade proposals, of course. Then fans focus on the positives of each player and how the trading partner would do well in acquiring them!) Graves is fine, too, but only fine. I suppose if Seattle wants to acquire extra assets for him then they could do worse than this deal. But I think they could also do better. It's not often you see 2 underachievers traded for a defenseman who played top 4 minutes on the best team in the league.
