He was supposed to be but now they are saying it’s likely he’s not back for start of training camp it is starting to look like this could be a career threatening injury it was arthritis in his shoulder and won’t go away apparently

That hasn't been stated anywhere. He had shoulder surgery and they are waiting until July to determine what the early prognosis is. Then they will have a better idea in the fall. Shoulder surgery has a six month minimum rehab. You are speculating that his career is in doubt but there has been no confirmation from the team one way or the other. They will see and then we will all know.

All the talking heads are split based off of what they are hearing from "sources" and most are guessing it's 50/50 if he plays again.
Holland certainly isn't sure and said they will circle back in July to see how rehab is going. But when Klefbom had his media availability after surgery he kept going back to the most important thingbis his health and quality of life after hockey. The surgery he had may not fix his shoulder completely and it being arthritis it will come back with time. He didn't even sound lile he was sure he would play even if the surgery worked.

absolutely speculation. but this whole exercise is speculation. who to trade for, how much RFAs will sign for and what UFAs to sign and for how much. What's the difference in building a roster based on the chance Klefbom can't play?.
