A player being traded with a legit contract extension in place is so rare i don’t think it’s really worth considering.

Too much for Chicago but hard to determine without knowing the extension and cap hit.

1st, 2nd and Boqvist should be close, alternatively Strome, 1st, Mitchell

Why is Los Angeles giving up so much more than the other two teams? The Kings are giving up the best primary element, the best draft pick, and the best two ancillary pieces, PLUS ADDING.

The Chicago deal is clearly too much for Jones, and the LA deal is off the charts. I'm not sure I would give up that much if you added Zach Werenski.

    Kings pass.

It’ll be a mark stone type of deal to be honest. Player wants out. The team will not get fair value in a trade. All teams involved could easily wait and see if he hits the open market.

Why would Seth Jones have any interest in Chicago and LA? LA is rebuilding and Chicago will probably be rebuilding here shortly. I don't see where either team is any better then Columbus sorry.

MTL won't trade away a center for a RHD. Just doesn't make any sense for depth.

You can have Drouin, he's (kind of) a center.

If the kings aquire Jones and are aggressive in another trade or signing for a winger I think they can easily contend for the playoffs. Let’s say for example trade for Jones and go hard after Forsberg for example with the likes of Byfield. Kaliyev. And. Turcotte in the lineup producing at a decent rookie pace.

I think you’re view of LA is a bit underrated. Kings have the cap space and prospects to pretty much get anyone they want.

If i'm Seth Jones i'm asking for at least $10,000,000 per to sign with LA just because of their high taxes, Perhaps slightly less from the Hawks.

Someone is going to overpay to acquire Jones and then they are going to overpay Seth Jones....
He had a terrible year this year...
Werenski and Gavrikov were good so don't say its a result of the team being bad....
Not saying he's done being an effective NHLer, but I'd be worried about selling the farm for him.

No one Portzline said that they're probably the front runners for him, I can see LA giving a competitive package but doubtful Chicago would without an extension in place.

Here is my thoughts on Montreal going after Jones. It does not make much sense unless Weber tells the team he is retiring after this season. There is no way Montreal pays any one of Weber, Petry or Jones to play on the third pair. So unless Columbus is taking back Weber or he retires there really is no deal to be made. That being said I would absolutely love to get Jones in Montreal it just is not very realistic. Also Montreal is not creating another hole at center by trading their top goal scorer over the last 2 playoffs.
