Bruins next year

Description
Not sure about Coyle at 2C but I think if Sweeney doesn't re-sign Krejci on a one year this is how the Bruins will look down the middle. Love Zach Hyman. I think he has priced himself out of Toronto. This is a guy that can really play anywhere in the lineup and will be the hardest working player on the ice every night. I'm prepared to lose Zboril in the expansion draft. Have him as an extra but I think he gets exposed and picked up by the Kraken.

I have a tough time seeing Seattle taking zboril over lauzon. Give krejci a one year deal. I think in a flat cap era you can find way better deals than Hyman at 5 mill.

He’s “meh.” If Craig smith is available for 3x3.1 Hyman at 5 is silly.

Can’t see Hall signing 3 years for that. 1 maybe, my guess is he walks. He says he wants Boston but he won’t like the contract they offer him.

Let him walk. Make a big push for Eichel. If that does not work hit free agency and find a trade with Debrusk that makes sense.

I think ZH gets around $6 m per for 5+ years. He’s been a plus player every year. Great underlying stats and offensive numbers. Large power forward that every team needs. Not a lot of injury history that I know of. I honestly think the Leafs find a way to keep him. Time will tell.

Hyman top 3 linemates over the last 3 years are also Marner, JT and Matthews. Is he really that good of a player or a benefactor of playing with some of the best talent in the NHL?

1. Don’t be that guy to do the stupid lower case upper case typing. What you’re doing is screaming to the world that you have no clever use of words available, so you’re just going to do that instead.
2. I could get .54 points per game playing with Matthews and marner.

just wanted to beat you to the chirp, LMAO I have no clever words but your comeback is you can have those points playing with matthews marner, so funny,

you say its not close, yet you are wrong, so you are rambling. please come up with intelligent responses and true facts that support it

It wasn’t a comeback. I have no problem with you. I’m not trying to beat you in anything. I just think it’s pretty obvious that Craig smith over the course of his career outproduces Hyman in a vacuum.

Your argument should be age. That would be valid. The argument should be that Hyman WILL bring more to the table, not that he does. That would be very reasonable.

Not worth 5 mill though.

and like I said from the beginning he may not be worth 5 mil, and tbh i hope the leafs dont give him that much I dont think 3 years age at this point in both their careers is worth an argument. because i cant see hyman getting that much better if he does, hes 28 so they are both at or arounf their peak and like i said smith has the better ability skill wise but its hard to ignore what hyman brings and currently at this point in time and the last 2-3 years he brings more. works his ass off every night and does everything, plays every facet of the game but he lacks that skill

He’s a nice player. I’m just saying a half point per game guy isn’t worth that contract.

and i agree with that, people will argue its all those other things he brings that make it worth it but hyim doing this at 2.2 and 5m are different, my argument was just him vs smith rn

True. So does he get paid like Kassian? $3-4 m per for shorter term? I think he can go out and get $5 m x 5 years somewhere.

He is that good a player. Just watch him. Good players need good players to play with and that is what he provides whoever he plays with. Would take him at 5M per year in a heartbeat.

Love Smith at 3.1M and would love Hyman at 5M. Wish Coyle was giving us half a point per game for his 5.25M.
