I mean the value on the COL trade is super favorable to COL and if it’s a post season deal they do it, but COL isn’t trading a valuable piece for prospects during the trade deadline.

I was gonna say, that value isn't bad, but there's just no way Sakic is trading Nichuskin off for futures now. I'm even somewhat skeptical that he'd do this in the offseason given how valuable Nichuskin is to this team. He leads the league in Corsi and is a huge reason why the 3rd line have the highest xGF% of ANY line in the league.

Yeah you're right. Another RHD prospect doesn't make sense with Timmins, Barron, and Helleson already in the pipeline. If they'd swap Bernard-Docker for Formenton I'd do it, that kid has some speed and would be a perfect fit in that 3LW role for us.

The Dvorak and Kuemper deals are brutal. Arizona should be getting far more value for those pieces. I'm especially perplexed by Arizona being the team that's adding in a Dvorak for Tierney swap.
