I wouldn’t trade all that for Rakell tbh, he’s kinda overrated

19 points in 26 games this year, 12 in his last 6, career average of 52 points per 82 games, not over rated in the slighest

Meh, pretty injur prone and a couple underwhelming years before this one. I’d avoid giving a first and a solid prospect for him when he’s only got a year left on his bargain contract, he’ll most likely be looking for a pretty solid payday after this year

Been pretty healthy the last 3 years now, Quality of the team around him has taken a nose dive those "underwhelming" years. Kevin Hayes gets a 1, 3 and a prospect as a rental, Rakell gets more with 50% retention possible and an extra year without question

I’m not saying Rakell won’t get a lot, but personally I wouldn’t give what the Avs r giving up here. I do think this is gonna be a bad year for sellers at the TDL though. Lots of sellers, and a lot of buyers probably weary of trading for a big piece with the risk of COVID as well as possible quarantining

Definitely not a middle six nobody. I’d say a solid second line winger. Could possibly prove himself to be more than that in an offense that’s not as dreadful as Anaheim’s

Rakell has been on fire lately. I would have no interest in trading him now. And for those who say he’s “overrated” good, we’ll keep him and he can continue to play really well for our team rather than yours.

Avs have been forced to play Rants a bit at C the last 2 games bc of injuries, that is why this avs fan is experimenting with the idea, but Mackinnon is suppose to be back next game and you dont break up Mack and Rants, especially to be 1C 2C

Who do you think Rakell is to be worth 2 good prospects and a 1st? That's ridiculous. Anaheim fans have largely agreed with a 1st + Timmins for Rakell trade previously, and now the Avs would get him for less term.

Well, the Avs would have to move out salary in order to take that kind of contract on; this deal only works with someone like Compher going the other way. That being said, I get why you wouldn't want to take someone like Compher on.
