Not even if you included Sandin would AZ accept that trade.

I honestly see Glendening with retention getting a second round pick. GMs love his old school style and we’ve seen depth guys like Boyle go for a second in the past.

Does every TML ACGM need to include Engvall?

Yes. Just like every Pens trade must include the legendary and immortal Sceviour.

You've undervalued Conor Garland tremendously, as two of the commenters above have already noted.

Arizona won't be trading him because he's part of their anticipated core going forward.

His old school style is that he is bad and old. Boyle was at least good defensively

Detroit passes, Why would we have any interest in a bunch of plugs? Glendening at $900,000 might return a late 2nd round pick or a 3rd round pick. Merrill probably returns a 4th round pick at best.

He’s perfectly fine defensively for a 4C and at 50% retention even cap strapped teams could bid. From all reports is a great leader in the locker room too.

He isnt though. He is very very bad defensively. He literally does one thing well and that's faceoffs, but hes so bad at maintaining puck possession that he could win 100% of them and still be a boat anchor defensively.
As far as leadership, well neat, thats meaningless of he cant play hockey at an nhl level

You mean his underlying analytics for a guy getting 67% d-zone starts on a historically bad team are bad? With Nielsen, Erne, and Helm as your linemates. Boyle isn’t some Selke candidate either... I’ve watched enough Glendening to know he is fine defensively. Let’s not act like I’m asking for a lottery pick either. The odds of a late second or third rounder panning out are slim and if a team wants to solidify their 4C for a deep run he’s a good option.

Glendening has been bad for years. Being on a bad team getting dzone starts doesnt mean he isnt bad, especially when his rel numbers show that he is performing worse than the other bad players he plays with.
And i never said boyle waa great, just significantly better than Glendening, which is a low bar.
Ive watched enough of him to know he shouldnt be in the nhl. Hes really that bad
