I wouldn't. What's the point of having tons of great prospects when after entry level deals, then all want hefty raises and we'd have Jeff Skinner clogging up 9million a year and no production in his 30's and we're getting screwed over.
Gonna have to pay Zadina, Seider, Raymond + All the other future guys at some point. And cap going up isn't a guarantee anymore.

People here talk about Jeff Skinner like he is Kyle Okposo. He’s not worthless and useless, he’s just expensive and having a tough time right now, like Bobby Ryan was in Ottawa. It’s not worth it to trade him with so much term left on his deal when the cost would be that high to make the move. At this point it would be better to wait it out and see if he comes around.

Kyle Okposo on the other hand, he can finish this season. If he refuses to retire this off-season the Sabres should buy him out.

Buffalo is screwed with that contract. I say sit back and watch it sink them further into oblivion.

It’s 6 years of him and 5 first round picks, this is an easy no brainer. Yeah, we’ll have raises to Seider, Zadina, and Raymond in that time but how many of those picks would’ve burned through their ELC? How much extra cap will we have in that time with guys like Nielsen + DDK off the roster? Buffalo wouldn’t even offer it as his buyout isn’t that bad considering the 72M contract.

Agree, but I did see someone propose an trade where someone gets eichel, but has to take skinner. Actually made me think about it for a minute lol
