Apparently she's part of it too. Suing him for almost 2mil.

Well other than the thing about him potentially not playing due to the safety of his daughter, I’d expect him to continue playing, because he certainly needs the money.

Crazy, stuff just follows this guy around.

Who knows right now... three very general paths this thing can go:

Scenario 1: Kane keeps playing for SJ to pay off the debt and tries to keep it from being too big a distraction (most likely).

Scenario 2: Kane for wtv reason (i.e. health, family, etc.) decides to not want to play anymore and gets his contract terminated.

Scenario 3: SJ for wtv reason decides to terminate his contract.

Other way around, he's suing her for $1.88M

If “crazy stuff just follows you around“ you are probably part of the problem a major part of the problem.

He's only saying that crap hoping the judge won't side with the creditors.
If I'm the judge and someone pulls that crap, I'm already siding with the creditors.
Guy makes 7 million per year and managed to piss it all away. I have no pity for him.

Is there a good news story out there that explains what's going on with Kane? Really don't see him walking away since he is broke.
Sharks will probably get him a financial counselor and maybe a therapist to teach him better money management skills and associations.
He is still a good player so Sharks won't cut him, but if anybody offers anything at all for him I would think Wilson gives him a ride to the airport.

i don't think you can terminate a contract for poor money management, saving grace for him is that he still has 30 mil left on his contract. maybe once this is all settled and he can no longer be the high roller playboy he might focus on hockey as it is the only way he can clean up this mess... honestly, the guy made 50 mil over the last 5 years and some how managed to spend 80 mil over the same length of time.
