OK, in short, we lose 4 good players, Virtanen, Gaudette, Lind, and Joulevi. I doubt we'd have the cap space to sign Gaudette, joulevi, and Lind, especially if all have a very good season. Keep in mind Hughes, Petey, and Demko all need to be signed too, so I think that's 25 M already gone.
Joulevi and Virtanen were sent to shred Loui's contract, which is a killer and will hurt us more than ever next offseason. Lind and Gaudette were sent to get Goligosky, a much welcome RD.
We get Goligosky and Getzlaf, two veterans who both are on expiring contracts. This will escpecially help us in the playoffs, when we need experience. You may say these two will be too old for any good, but I think that this will be huge in making us a serious contender in the playoffs this year. They both will be getting contracts worth a lot less next year, and a 35+ contract for getzlaf may be possible if he demands less than 1.25 M
By trading these players, we also got space to sign Duclair for a 1 year deal. He would be an improvement from Virtanen on the second line.
As soon as the Coyotes realize that they won't be going very far this year, the rental's will start coming in. Goligoski will really help our blue line. I imagine this trade happening halfway through the season.
In trade for this 35 year old who probably wants a chance at the cup they get a third line centre, a future winger, and a 2nd round pick a few years down the road
I know that Eriksson's contract is bad, but that is ridiculous. I think that Vancouver might do it if San Jose ate his whole contract. The Arizona trade is bad also
He's worth a lot more but not many teams have the means to get him for much higher. Keep on watching he's not gonna get more than 1M
Keep watching. Yes he will a team like Florida could offer him 3-4 for 2 years because they have 8 mil in cap and no one big ending for another two years. He could sign there and he would get more because of the low tax and if florida isn't good, he could easily be flipped at the deadline by retaining 1 mil. (If he plays well)
We could fit Eriksson fully. I’d do it for two firsts maybe a small add too - but I’d be fine with Eriksson 2021 2022 first and random prospect for either a pick back or a depth player for you guys. This proposed trade is just too good for the sharks.
Eriksson
2021 1st
2022 1st
Prospect; nothing special

Seems reasonable to me. If you don’t want to lose firsts than I could see:
One of your top prospects
Woo
A pick (not a first)
Eriksson
I'm not a Canucks fan but I don't like any of this for Vancouver, giving up way too much youth/futures and then a 1st for Getzlaf too, it's all just too much.
Honestly not to sure. Maybe he goes to boston on a cheap one year deal in they don't resign Chara because he could help out the left side if he plays well enough.

Nashville's GM seems to be in Antarctica otherwise I thought they'd nab him for a few years. I'm guessing he'll end up in either the Rangers, Bruins, or Canadiens. (I honestly think that the Rangers will be able to be buyers at the trade deadline, so they may wanna save money) or the only other option is that he signs with a rebuilding team (Ottawa, LA, NJD or Detroit), and possibly get more money and/or a NTC, depending on what he wants
