There's no tanking in Hockey! That's why the draft lottery is "correctly" set up the way it is. Teams that tank are not rewarded in the NHL, which is a very beautiful thing.

Oh, I understand. Tanking would get the Rangers somewhere in the lottery. Rangers could also trade up again if need be or trade someone like Kravtsov or Lundkvist if they (hopefully not) refuses to sign an ELC or come over to America because there's too much competition at their position.

What about tanking for McTavish?

I like him too but I got a major intrigue for Eklund. He's getting better every game and is climbing my rankings every shift.

I like Eklund, and as mentioned, you may not need to fully tank. I just find it hilarious that the rags get Kakko in 2019, Laf in 2020, and now they must tank AGAIN. All good fun though, its a young exciting team. Will be awesome for the league.

Explain to me why the 2019/2020 season has been awful for Detroit when they have all that talent and speed, and why they'll do it again next season for other high quality prospects?

I expect so, especially with uncertainty surrounding other leagues atm, but I'm not sure tanking to draft him will be necessary.

Realistically speaking, definitely not. Just would love to snag him with some certainty haha.
