I don’t see them getting 3 future 1st though. Maybe 2. And two 2nds. 3 1st rounders is a lot, even if it is McDavid. And 3 top young players. It’s a lot of capital for McDavid. Gretzky didn’t get that much.

I would say Thachuk and Stutzle and the 2 1st rounders and 1 2nd. But that’s just my opinion!! It all depends where the leverage is too!! If oilers were looking to move McDavid, then most likely they wouldn’t have the leverage. And a good young NHL-er, a top prospect, and 2 1st rounders would be what they would get back. And would be happy with the return!!

And Ottawa isn’t gonna take back all those contracts too!! I bet a player or 2 would be thrown in. But it wouldn’t be contracts. It would be, cheaper, NHL caliber players to fill out Ottawa’s roster.
