Better than McCann? Doubtful. When has he outscored McCann and McCann is younger. And more potential too!! McCann is easily the better and more valuable player!!
Legare was the 34th ranked player in his draft class. Is 20 years old, the captain of his team in the Q, and scored 87 points in 68 games and 71points in 61 games. A “B+”, “A-“ prospect. I would want him!! I’m excited to see his NHL career!!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>They haven't under Shanahan. They've been terrific at development. Kap isn't the worst, he just isn't very good. He's a bottom 6 player than can provide some offense but not much else. He's overpaid and way over hyped. If you want a guy to score some goals in the bottom 6 but give up as many as many as he gets, he's fine. He's worth less than 2 million though</div></div>
We’ll see!! He’s 24 and playing on his 2nd team. All Kappy and Ceci’s fault!! I’ll take Kappy right nowover Amoriv and Hallander. Hollander is a 3C at his ceiling!! A “C+”, “B-“ prospect. I would have been pissed if the goalie, or Sanderson, or Seth Jarvis Fell to 15. I’ would have wanted the Pens to pick C.Zary, or H.Laperiere or K.Guhl if the Pens still had 15. I was happy when I saw Toronto picked Amirov. And didn’t have to hear about a missed prospect. Take Amirov and Hallander. Good luck!! Neither would be a huge part of our future. Kappy can be!!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>And what had Kessel done by 24? A hell of a lot more production than Kapanen. This site is ridiculous, there is absolutely nothing to point to to make a case for Kapanen being a good player. He's 24, hasn't progressed, sucks defensively and despite his reputation of being a physical player with an edge, he doesn't really hit and has had 2 or 3 fights he lost in his career. He's just not good.</div></div>
We’ll see why he does in Pittsburgh. It was all Kappy and Ceci’s fault..Why Toronto is bad right?? Only played on one team. I’m sure Toronto has mismanaged players b4 or misused them.

Why would Columbus do that?! Trade a top line Center for that?? Calgary fans really think highly of D.Dube. A top line Center for A little midget, prospect and D.Dube. Probably a “C+”, “B-“ prospect. You would probably have to go D.Dube, and J.Pelletier(also a midget) or C.Zary and the 1st round pick. But your trade offer seems fair too?? Lol.
J.Pelletier, D.Dube and a 1st might not even get it done either. If P-L Dubois was on the trade block. Their would be other teams offering a Top Prospect, a young NHL player with potential and a 1st round pick too. They would take the best offer or the offer they liked the most!!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eclipze</b></div><div>Alright 1st, don’t care what the NHL network says cause as soon as they put Doughty on that list they lost all credibility. 2nd don’t care where Reilly was drafted or how many points he scored in one season he’s a 4-5 dman defensively. And 3rd if I’m a GM and I’m given the choice of any goalie in the league to be on my team next year I’m choosing Hellybebuyck, Vasilevskiy, Price, Binnington, Bishop or Hart before I take Gibson. I didn’t include Elvis, Sorokin, Jarry or Askarov. Cause they’ve either never played in the NHL or too small a sample size. This also excludes factoring in age/contract price and length it’s just purely for next season.</div></div>
Good luck man!! Yep cause Drew Doughty wouldn’t be the top Defenseman on 20 out of 32 teams?? Sure!! He’d be Edmonton’s best Defensemen by far and you would cream and your pants if he played on your team!!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lyle_Bubas</b></div><div>yeah but kappy didn't lead his team in scoring for 6 years straight
if Kapanen scores 30 idc because we got good return for him, and he was never getting that chance with the leafs
he played an entire season with Matthews/Marleau and only mustered 20 goals and 24 assists - like idk where he's suddenly getting 40 goals with crosby lmfao
we tried him with Tavares and MARNER for god's sake, this year and it was SO bad he absolutely killed the entire line and had to be relegated to 3rd line duty where he scored at like a 15 goal 40 point pace and was a ghost in the playoffs with a first and secondary assist (2 points)
he's also pretty bad defensively, so, have fun guys, I hope it works out but goddamn idk lol</div></div>
Fair enough!! We will see. I wouldn’t be super excited about Amirov and I’m not disappointed in that price now that it was Amirov drafted at 15. But ok, fair enough!! But he is only 24 years old. And he’s a PK player. So he’s Bad defensively..?? And was one of the only Toronto players with an edge to him. Has a good numbers as far as hits.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dzmets</b></div><div>Lol. Rust is a career .55 points per game player that is 45 per 82. Nathan Legare was picked 74th o/a middle of the third round and regressed after his draft year. Rikoola could not beat out Jack Johnson for an everyday spot in the Pens D core. Sam Reinhart is not by any means a top 10 player in the league but he is definitely better than this return</div></div>
Legare was the 34 ranked player in his draft class. Was a late 1st , early 2nd round projection. The Pens were taking him or Poulin in the 1st round. He fell to the 3rd round. They traded up to get him, surprised he was still there!!
Legare is 20 years old, the captain of his team in the Q, had 71 points in 61 games last year. And 87 points in 72 games the year before. The Two years he has been with the Pens!! Regressed?? Huge drop off!! Lol!! Good analysis!!
Riikola was a highly touted FA Defensive signing from Europe at 25 years old. Was the “A” captain of his team in the KHL. He has played well in limited games. Like most Defensemen coming over from Europe and adjusting to the smaller rink and more physical game. His metrics and analytics are great. And numbers per 60 are as well. Same as per 82 games. Although, limited games, it’s not limited minutes or sheltered ice time. He has played 16 minutes a game. Slid into either the 2nd or 3rd D pairing on the LHD or RHD spot equally as well.
Every fan and analysts were screaming last year for him to replace J.Shultz on the RHD or JJ on the LHD on the 3rd D pairing last year. It’s just hard when the other 2 make a ton of money and u want to trade them and keep their trade value and your leverage high. Riikola was rewarded this offseason with his 1.1M contract. He’s a top five, 7th Defensemen in the league. Would be a top 6 defenseman right now on many NHL teams. His Number and Analytics prove it. Plays both RHD and LHD just as well!
We’ll see how well A.Zub and Lehtonen do this year. If they have the same numbers In Toronto and for the Sens as Riikola does, they will be happy with their 1st season. Again, sorry, but your take isn’t right!!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dzmets</b></div><div>Again Rust is a career .55 points per game player while Reinhart is .63 points per game. If we Just want to go to a small sample size and take Sam's best 55 game stretch to define what caliber a player he is which you are clearly doing with Rust then we can call Sam a 30 + goal scorer and more than a point per game player. But in all honesty the bigger the sample size the more true picture of the player and by career numbers Sam is clearly better and younger with more expected added productivity in years to come.</div></div>
yep, I agree. But at the time of this trade Rust is a point per game player. Fact!! Rust has done it. Reinhart hasnt!! Fact!! It’s not a potential point per game player. Or something you can’t really quantify like potential. It’s a fact. At the time of this trade Rust’s value would be that of a point per game player. And the Pens would use that. They would expect that in return or what they thought was a fair return for a point per game player.

That is what is called a disingenuous statement. You keep arguing about things I never said, Sabres fans really don’t want rust, or anyone else in this package for reinhart. At best they get equal production from Rust as reinhart and a prospect for a 2nd (who again I don’t know, but don’t think he’s jumped up 2 full rounds of value.) jusso is literally nothing in the deal. I love how many people are still griping about Kadri (more understandable but definitely debatable) and Kapanen (He is one of the most overrated players on this site) like they are the difference makers this team needs. "Oh but that one time Kapanen scored an OT winner 3 years ago, and has 3 or 4 points since then." He sucks, "But he at least hits and has a physical edge the stars lack" Matthews was tied with Hyman for the team lead in hits against Columbus.</div></div>
We’ll see how Kappy works out in Pittsburgh playing with Crosby and Guentzel. His speed fits that line nicely!! Remember what happened the last time the leafs traded a super fast player that was alittle bit of an a*s to Pittsburgh. He ended up eating hot dogs out of the Stanley Cup!! Wow, that’s a lot for Boston to give up. I thought Boston was interested in trading DeBrusk and their top D prospect U.Vaakanainen. I don’t think Carlo and everyone else u have involved in this trade is even in consideration for being traded. Why would they even do that? I could see DeBrusk, that top D prospect and maybe another prospect like Zach Senyshyn and a 1st round pick for Johnny G and N.Hanifin. But they arnt trading from their roster. It’s gonna be future assets.

Gibson is for sure top 3. No doubt!! T.Raask and A. Vasilevskiy and Gibson. Put them in any order. And Boston and TB’s Defenses are way better. Put a good defensive system in front of Gibson and he’s better. Maybe C.Price is in there but Price is getting up there in age. Gibson already puts up the same, elite stats and is on a bad team. Way better than Binnington. Way more highly touted and such a bettter goalie. Such a better proven goalie. Better numbers all
Around. And like I said St.Louis also has a good defense in front of Binnington.
And M.Reilly and Jones are easily top 5-20. Here is a list of top 20 for this upcoming season. Done by NHL network.
Seth Jones is 5 and Morgan Reilly is 20. REILLY IS A TOP 5 pick. Should have been taken #1 overall. 26 years old. Scored 20 goals and had 72 POINTS as a D-man in 80 games...72 POINTS..What?? What isn’t elite about that??

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lsendel3</b></div><div>Right here. You clearly said it as a negative on reinhart. That’s fine, prospects are prospects. Could pan out to be the next big thing might be (probably due to many factors) will be something less. Rust has outproduced Sam one season. One. You can like him more all you want but Sam has had 4 20 + goal seasons. rust has had 1 ( woulda had 2 in 18/19 for injury). My point is if you are going to ding Sam for Eichel (don’t know why you are still arguring you didn’t, see the bolded, you clearly did) the same must hold true for Rust.</div></div>
What? It’s not said as a negative. It’s a statement!! What are u talking about?? He plays with a top Center in the NHL. Meaning he can’t complain about not having good line-mates. Not anywhere does it say that he benefits from a better line than Rust. You’re reading into s*it cause u want that to be an excuse and a reason to argue. I never said that. I said he was over-rated for a #2 overall pick. Which I stand by. And Rust is a point per game player. Reinhardt is not. Which is a factual statement too. And Rust is gonna be traded as point per game player. Right now, he is. Doesn’t matter it was only one year, or a shortened season. Right now, he is traded and gonna be valued as a point per game player when traded. Yes, it’s
The highest his value has ever been so far in his career. And we’ll see if it stays that way. He’s proved he can do it. We’ll see what happened this year.

Lol, Laine and Pasta are two of the best young goals scores in the league. Crosby, MaKinnon and Couturtier are 3 of the best Centers in the NHL.
J.Vrana is a top 10 pick and 24 years old; one of the best young wingers In the game. Same with K.Fiala; top 10 pick, great goal scorer and top line talent. Plays on the top line now. J.Vrana plays on the 2nd line on a really stacked Caps team. Gallagher is still only 28 and a proven 30 goal scorer, playmaker, Top line, one of the best contracts in the NHL. Bobby Ryan would be a great 3rd line winger with Couturier and Fiala.
My 4th line of B.Coleman/Danault/Accairi would be the best defensive 4th line, checking line in the game. All 4 had Selke votes last year. And all can chip and and score too!!
Morgan Reilly a top 5 pick(should have gone #1 overall). Scored 20 goals and had 72 points in 82 games the year before last. Seth jones is another top 5 pick and top young D-man. Dougie Hamilton another 1st round pick and top 5 defensemen in the game. All 3 are are all top 10 defenseman in the NHL. Ekholm is a great second pairing D. Great 2 way D-man. Pelch and Roy are two big bodied, good defensive Dmen and would be a great 3rd pairing. J.Gibson is the best goalie in the league. Top 3 atleast.

There U go bud!! Teams play with a 20 man roster all the time by the way. You don’t need a 22-23 man roster. Most don’t carry 23. Most 21-22 and with injuries, and players not wanting to go on the IR, a team might dress 19-20 some nights. And have 22 on the roster. But dress 19-20.
