It was already mentioned that Palat wont waive his full NTC this year, So Palat to Edmonton isn't happening besides they don't have the cap space for him. Doubt Johnson would waive for Calgary as one of their beat writers said that he doesn't want to play in Canada. Doubt Minnesota is one of 14 teams that Alex Killorn would waive for.

Who knew it could be so easy, simply trade NTCs...

Part of making trades is working with the other teams cap situation. For example you trade TJ to calgary who is at the cap ceiling and take no money back or retention.

On top of that he could have been taken by any team for free on waivers just last week!

If you are going to make trades at least try to put some effort / reality into them!

Calgary doesn't have the cap space.
Minnesota doesn't have the cap space.
Montreal doesn't have the cap space.
Edmonton doesn't have the cap space.

It would be nice if the Armchair GM tool gave you an idea of the other team's cap space when building trades.
