Sorry bud...the logic you presented isn't right. So you think Holl is fine defensively but his 18 points this season if deficient offensively. But you trade for Larsson and 6 points this season is an improvement.
Like so many, you believe Leafs Dmen are poor, but other teams RHD are sooooo good.
Leafs are 100 times better keeping Holl at 2m X 3, and that trading for 4.1m X 1 Larsson. Plus the Leafs could get some assets (not much) for Johnsson.

you still need to move more salary. You only have a 21 man roster. You need 23. Also, league min salary is 750k. I think rodriguez will sign closer to 900k to 1.2m. Move dermott and kerfoot. Promote sandin and lilijigren, sign another center and we would be in better shape. Good start though. As for the johnsson haters, 20 goal scorers are useless? Glad the gm's of the league are smarter than the collective intelligence gathered here. He has value, i admit not as much as a typical 20 goal man might.

If the Oilers can handle the cap, I would rather just "give" Johnsson away to obtain cap to sign maybe a UFA Dman cheaper than Larsson. Bracco? Seems to have regressed but he might make the Bakersfield team, certainly not an NHL team.

Edmonton will do the deal just add Holl to it and Edmonton will add a 4th in return cut the devils out of the deal.

Edmonton would certainly like Holl over Larsson because he's better, as is Johnsson. Larsson sucks, keep him.
