You have to love seeing the Leafs with 4 players making 10.5 million or more.

Because what TOR really needs is another $10M forward. Literally after this, any Leafs fan that questions how another team is going to sign their FA’s should get the manual buzzer:

how do you possibly look at the lineup constructed and say "wow another 10M forward"

Islanders match this. If toronto can dump that much salary, so can the islanders.

Problem. Leafs do not have the 2021 1st round pick, as it is the pick going to Carolina to take on and buyout Marleau. So you would have the 2020 1st round pick, which Leafs mgmt kept and 2021 goes to Carolina and 2022 and 2023 would goto Islanders. That is 3 years of 1st round picks

Idk because that’s exactly what it is. A bunch of moves that for the most part are unrealistic to add another $10M forward. I mean having 3 $10M forwards has worked out so well wth not let’s get a 4th one! But it’s your ACGM,

yes because having a forward core of Matthews,Barzal,Marner,Tavares,Nylander and Robertson would be such a terrible thing and for sure wouldnt succeed!!! you got errrr

Honestly, idec if it's a defencemen, Kyle Dubas allocating another $10M of the cap to a single player would be an abject failure. This would mean 2/3 of the D corps would be at league min, and the entire bottom 6 would have to be league min, as well as a goaltending tandem that couldn't surpass the standard AAV of a starting goaltender ($4-5M)

I'd've rather kept Kadri at 4.5 than trade him and get Barzal at 10.5

No it wouldn’t but it isn’t realistic at all and the defense sucks ass, and the goalie is a pretender who created a rep playing in the dessert where they play low event hockey, and a team with a crap defense and high octane forwards is that going to be a low event team? No. So yeah it’s a dumb idea to spend even MORE money on forwards.

LA isn't trading you back that pick.

The Kings aren't trading Roy unless there is a top-six wing coming back. Johnsson would be a 3LW on the Kings, as he's not better than Iafallo or Kempe.
