Is that a joke? Bruins give up the 2 best players in the deal for and old d man with a bad contract and pile of trash? Would not do one of them for that let alone both.

CBJ declines. We've got no interest in trading Gavrikov, and we need to upgrade our top 6, especially at 2C. Connolly isn't a viable top-6 scoring forward on a contending team, and he's definitely not a 2C. We'd likely have interest in young forward prospects like Borgstrom/Denisenko/Tippett.

Edmonton should decline, even though I'm brutally aware that one of the organization's mouthpieces has been slowly starting to ramp up the idea of flipping Puljujarvi for Borgstrom. I don't think Edmonton ever wins that deal. Puljujarvi - should his NHLe and the projection of a $1M/2y deal be trusted - has the potential to be one of the biggest bargain deals in the NHL for the next two seasons. I don't personally believe Borgstrom to be an NHL option for next season.

Oilers should take Borgstrom straight up and be thrilled. Puljujarvi is the "white whale", a fictitious legend who too many think will magically catch fire. He's a cut above Nial Yakapov, but only one cut. He has physical skills to make you drool, but absolutely zero understanding of the game and even less heart.

B.S. He also has the potential to be one of the biggest busts in NHL history. Given Edmonton's history, which would you bet on?

Puljujarvi not busting. Until you're willing to dive into the reasons as to why Edmonton should be looking at re-signing him, it's not worth my effort to explain to you how he could succeed in Edmonton. If you're willing to listen, I'd be more than willing to justify my position.

I can explain the Boston trade

Remember when Boston Choked a 4 Goal Lead to Florida Earlier, I think Montanbeaut was the Goalie, and Yandle Scored the tieing Goal

Which goes to my Initial question of was it a joke.

But I guess when you are a Panthers fan you get your kicks when you can. We forgot about the game the next day.

I live in ALTA. I've seen enough of him to know he's no Matthew Tkachuk ... or Clayton Keller ... or Alexander Nylander... or Mikhail Sergachev ... or Tyson Jost... or Charlie McAvoy (tell me when you want me to stop)... or Alex DeBrincat... or Jesper Bratt (this is fun).... The dream is dead. He's your Galchenyuk. Start thinking addition by subtraction.

This is the NHL! You earn your time. He had plenty of time alongside McDavid, Draisaitl, RNH and others and did squat. Yamamoto seems to have figured it out. Kassian has finally found a way to show he belongs. Even Chiasson ate Puljujarvi's lunch.

I can honestly say I don't remember that lol. I vaguely remember them facing Montanbeaut, but couldn't tell you anything about the game. I could see why FLA fans would remember though because it was probably one of the highlights of their season

It's actually a coincidence those two ended up in the trade because I forgot about it
