Alvin is a #1 or 2 and you gave them an overpriced Zucker and a 3rd pairing defenseman and an nice player but has proved nothing.
Ottawa trade is two dumps and Murray for a 2nd and a 3rd. With out the dumps it means Murray is worth a high 1st and a 2nd. No Way.
Letang is a turnover machine and is more expensive and older than Karlsson

Fair enough. But I disagree with any of you who diss Letang. He still puts up good numbers and they only went down cause he's trying to focus more on defense since he hears the fans and medias complaints. He may give it away a lot but that just comes with being an offensive defenseman. He still has a lot of takeaways. Blocks a lot of shots. Hits a lot. And has really good fitness. He's a 2 way defender.

honeslty dont think the pens have any assets aside of guentzel the canes would even listen to in a slavin trade. For brodin though i think your looking at like maybe murray and a first + maybe some extras. That one would be more feasible if the pens had any firsts

i have nothing nice to say, but for the canes to ever even CONSIDER trading slavin one of the pittsburgh saviors (crosby or malkin) would have to come back

With the best player in the world and Malkin you're wrong. If anything there's nothing Carolina can give to get get players like that. But i know better and I'm not ignorant enough to make statements like that when even gretzky and hall and Kessel and Karlsson and Luongo and Subban and Weber and more get traded
